Antonio Fuoco led FP1 in the No. 50 AF Corse Ferrari 499P. The practice session was predictably wet as the drivers attempted to put down lap times in adverse conditions. Fuoco set his fastest lap as track started to dry after early heavy rain. The No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari finished second fastest in the session. The No. 93 Peugeot TotalEnergies 9X8 Hypercar lead the field in the fully wet period of the session but then slipped down the pecking order to eighth position as conditions improved. Championship leaders Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 cars No. 7 and No. 08 finished sixth and seventh.

LMP2

After the long break since Monza the LMP2 cars are back in action. The No. 28 Jota Oreca-Gibson that won at Monza led the session with Oliver Rasmussen behind the wheel setting a 1m40.781s lap. The LMP2 championship leader leading No. 41 WRT car of Robert Kubica, Louis Deletraz and Rui Andrade ended the session at the back of the pack.

LMGTE Am

The No. 77 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche led the class in practice. The team set a lap time almost 4 seconds faster than the No. 54 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo. The majority of the LMGTE Am class was not able to set down many laps in the dry to improve times. We expect improvement across the class in the next session.
