Toyota Gazoo Bounces Back to Top FP2

In contrast to FP1, FP2 was a completely dry session. Toyota Gazoo Racing came out with a vengeance securing the top 2 spots in FP2. The No. 8 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 Hypercar Hybrid laps Fuji Speedway in 1m29.523s, 0.597s ahead of sister the No. 07 Toyota. The Hertz Team Jota ran third fastest with Antonio Felix da Costa behind the wheel setting a best time of 1m30.584 in gold delivered Porsche 963. The No. 51 Ferrari AF Corse placed fourth and the No.5 Porsche Penske placed fifth as a 1m30.734s was set by Michael Christensen.

LMP2

Points leading No.41 WRT entry of Robert Kubica, Rui Andrade and Louis Deletraz ran quickest ahead of No. 28 Jota Oreca-Gibson. Deletraz set a 1m33.131s lap demoting the driven by Pietro Fittipaldi in the Jota. The No. 23 United Autosports entry ran third fastest just 0.005 second behind.

LMGTE Am

The AF Corse team showed up in FP2 with both cars topping the table. The No. 54 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo ran a fastest 1m38.239 lap. The fastest lap was nearly 5 tenths faster than the No. 21 sister car. The session was otherwise uneventful as the teams prep for day 2.
