The 2024-25 Nitrocross season kicks off this weekend in Richmond Virginia. Find out everything you need to know about the upcoming season below.

Teams And Drivers

DRR JC Monster Energy Dodge

Robin Larsson

It wasn’t much of a secret that Larsson would return for yet another season of Nitrocross with the DRR JC team. Larsson is now a two-time Nitrocross champion after winning in both 2022-23 and 2023-24. Larsson has won the most Nitrocross rounds with 7 wins under the Swede’s belt. He is also tied with Fraser McConnell and Travis Pastrana for the most top qualifiers. Larsson is the favourite to take home the championship once again this season. He is also the favourite to take home the win this weekend in Richmond.

Andreas Bakkerud

What is there to say about Bakkerud? Everyone knows about him at this point. Bakkerud is coming off a rough 2023-24 season. Where he finished fourth in the championship, didn’t win an event and only had one podium. Bakkerud will hopefully have a better 2024-25 season. However, in motorsport that is easier said than done.

Dreyer And Reinbold Racing

Fraser McConnell

The Jamaican sensation is back in Nitrocross for another year. McConnell finished second in the championship last season and is among the favourites to take home the top honours this season. McConnell had 3 wins last season, alongside 2 additional podiums. The 25-year-old will look to continue his success from last season. However, like Bakkerud that is easier said than done.

Team OMSE/OMSE

Kevin Eriksson

The king of backwards entries himself is back for another season. Eriksson is coming off a third-place finish in the championship last season. Eriksson took home four podiums last season but did not win an event. He will look to continue the consistency he showed last season. However, if Eriksson wants to win the championship he’ll have to win at least one event.

Oliver Eriksson

Coming off a difficult and disappointing 2023-24 season Oliver Eriksson will look to have a better season. It won’t be easy, but anything is possible. Oliver Eriksson only had one win last season and no additional podiums.

Tanner Foust

American Rallycross legend, and motorsport icon, Tanner Foust returns to Nitrocross for a full campaign. Foust contested two rounds last season and took home one podium. Foust has won in every Rallycross series he’s competed in. That includes both the World RX and Global Rallycross. However, Foust has yet to win in Nitrocross. There’s a good chance that will change this year, however. Especially if he shows the same pace he did in the second round of Nitrocross Utah last season.

Vermont Sportscar

Conner Martell

Conner Martell will once again race under the VSC banner in Nitrocross. He will also be the only driver to race under the team, at least for the first round. As Travis Pastrana is taking a step back from Group E this season. Nevertheless, Martell isn’t a bad driver. Sure he hasn’t had the best results. As he only had one podium last year. However, Martell has shown decent pace at most events. Hopefully, Martell will take a step up this season.

VMV Racing

Viktor Vranckx

Vranckx will look to contest his first full season of Nitrocross this year. After contesting the final four rounds of last season and having mixed results. Vranckx jumped over to Nitrocross after spending time overseas in the World RX2e class. A class he won back in 2022. However, he elected to make the jump after he didn’t like the direction the championship took in 2023.
