The first round of the 2024-25 Nitrocross season and the first day of Nitrocross Virginia has come to an end, Larsson took home the win.
Qualifying One
Group One
Conner Martell topped the first qualifying group, with a time 0.099 seconds faster than Oliver Eriksson. Fraser McConnell finished third fastest in the group, 0.154 seconds slower than Martell and 0.055 seconds slower than Eriksson.
Group Two
Robin Larsson topped the second qualifying group, with a time 0.086 seconds faster than Andreas Bakkerud. Kevin Eriksson set the third fastest time, 0.141 seconds slower than Larsson and 0.055 seconds slower than Bakkerud.
Qualifying Two
Fraser McConnell took home the win in the second qualifier. McConnell finished 0.304 seconds faster than Kevin Eriksson. Viktor Vranckx was third fastest, 0.305 seconds slower than McConnell and 0.001 seconds slower than Eriksson.
Qualifying Three
Robin Larsson took home the top qualifier honours in round one of Nitrocross Virginia. Larsson set a time 0.278 seconds faster than Andreas Bakkerud to take the win. Oliver Eriksson finished third fastest, 0.312 seconds slower than Larsson and 0.034 seconds slower than Bakkerud.
Heats
Heat One
Andreas Bakkerud topped the first heat group with a time 0.976 seconds faster than Conner Martell. Lia Block finished third fastest in the heat, 3.720 seconds slower than Bakkerud and 2.744 seconds slower than Martell.
Heat Two
Robin Larsson continued his win streak in the second heat taking home the win by setting a time 1.9 seconds faster than Fraser McConnell. Viktor Vranckx was third fastest, 3.397 seconds slower than Larsson and 1.497 seconds slower than McConnell.
Semi-Finals
Semi-Final One
Andreas Bakkerud topped the first semi-final with a time 0.327 seconds faster than Fraser McConnell. Tanner Foust finished third fastest in the first semi-final group. Foust finished 1.770 seconds slower than Bakkerud and 1.443 seconds slower than McConnell.
Semi-Final Two
Robin Larsson punched his ticket to the Nitrocross Virginia finals by taking home the win in the second semi-final. Larsson finished 4.260 seconds faster than Oliver Eriksson to take the win. Conner Martell was third fastest in the group, 6.4 seconds slower than Larsson and 2.140 seconds slower than Eriksson.
Last Chance Qualifier
Viktor Vranckx punched his ticket to the finals with a win in the LCQ. Vranckx didn’t have much of a challenge as Lia Block had an issue on the first lap and she was his only competitor.
Nitrocross Virginia Finals
Robin Larsson took home the win after finishing 1.068 seconds faster than Oliver Eriksson. Fraser McConnell finished third fastest, 1.962 seconds slower than Larsson and 0.894 seconds slower than Eriksson. Conner Martell set the fourth fastest time in the finals, 6.420 seconds slower than McConnell. Viktor Vranckx rounded out the top five finishing 0.116 seconds slower than Martell. Martell received a one-position penalty after the race, which moved Martell to fifth and Vranckx up to fourth.
