Tower Motorsports has been stripped of its LMP2 class victory this past weekend after the IMSA stewards found the team to be in breach of the technical regulations. IMSA has released a statement that the issue is specifically related to the maximum allowable wear to the regulated area of the skid block on the underside of the car which is set at 5mm. Tower Motorsports appealed the decision but the appeal was denied. Unfortunately for Tower Motorsports the winning high was short lived.
