Pedro Acosta Underwent a Successful Arm Pump Surgery

Red Bull KTM’s rider Pedro Acosta underwent arm pump surgery on his right forearm. Acosta is expected to be fit and ready for the French Grand Prix which is set to take place in one weeks time. The team made the following social media post regarding the surgery update.

UPDATE:@37_pedroacosta underwent successful surgery this evening on his right forearm to treat chronic compartment syndrome. He’ll remain under observation for 24hrs and is expected to return for the French GP, pending a medical check next week.@MotoGP

Acosta has faced adversity thus far this year after failing to podium and struggling to stay in the top 10 on more than one occasion. This was in part due to the destabilization that occurred at the beginning of the season when KTM’s financial problems were unveiled to the public. However, the team is still operational and functioning; business as usual.
