Ducati Lenovo rider Enea Bastianini has found a new swing of form on the track the second half of the 2024 season. Bastianini led practice beating out championship leader Jorge Martin by a slim 0.04s. Bastianini commented on the session, “It was a positive day. The track was a bit dirty this morning, but it improved a lot throughout the day. Obviously the times dropped significantly in the afternoon, but the feeling with the bike was already good from the first session; we then made some adjustments, which worked well. We were strong in the time attack, while the medium rear tyre requires a few laps before getting into temperature. We’re all very close lap-time wise so it won’t be easy tomorrow in qualifying. In any case, I’m very happy with today’s performance.”

P2 finisher Martin also offer his comments, “I’ve felt really good all day. I tried different types of tyres and I feel great. Not having to make any changes to the bike allowed me to focus on the riding. I’m happy with how the day went, and I’m ready for tomorrow”.

Franco Morbidelli finished in third which will be advantageous heading into Q2. Despite finishing 4th Francesco Bagnaia was right there with the front runners with the top 4 being separated by less than a tenth of a second. Qualifying is up next.
